not 100% sure but its more about data center capacity at this point then server capacity. It does not matter the number of servers you have, overall it is capped not just by the server level, but in the data center as well. The data center capacity is what is getting hit with duty finder and such issues, so untill its adjusted to handle the load even with more servers same number of people can get let on.

They are improving each day, and will continue to. If your this impatient and so easily angered with such things you should know to NEVER play an MMO in its first few weeks as it takes a bit to polish everything out.

Thing have NOT gotten better. They have been going downhill since EA begun! The crap is really gonna hit the fan tomorrow unless they suddenly get their stuff together. Very unlikely.

I'm really not affected by this issue, partly because I expected queues in the first few weeks and partly because I'm EU therefore the servers aren't on a huge strain at the times I log on. I do think though that if they continue these login restrictions they are going to have a lot of complaints come tomorrow. If somebody actively goes and buys the game tomorrow, they will expect to go home and play immediately (as they should). If they then create an account only to realise that they cannot physically create a new character on any NA/EU servers then they will start complaining and probably get a refund.

I myself don't mind empty servers and actually think they are better than a full server in most aspects. A close-knit community is much better than a community like WoW's for example. I find them to be much more friendly and accepting because they're the ones who actually want to be playing enough to stick out the tough times. Saying that however, I think bottlenecking the servers is entirely the wrong way to go about these issues and will only cause a lot of drama over the next week/month/however long it takes to stabilise the servers.

Then why have any "server groups" at all? Because that is the way people play with people in certain languages and time zones.... sheesh.
