Why is Shield Bash on GCD?

Forgive me for posting in GD, but there is no gameplay feedback section, or if so, I missed it. All I could find was the website suggestions one.

    Anyways, Title.

This is very frustrating to tanks, and takes away from the fun of playing tank. Having to dodge AoE abilities instead of cancelling them is lame. I should be rewarded for having quick reflexes and stunning during charge-up, not be penalized by trying to anticipate when they are going to start casting so that I'm not on GCD while they are charging.

I am penalized because I forgo any other skill on GCD when I think the enemy is about to start casting, essentially gimping my damage output. Having shield bash off GCD would make for more interactive fights for tanks, and would improve the satisfaction of playing the class greatly. If this causes too many imbalances with MAR - give them a similar skill - problem solved.

Yoshi already said there isn't enough tanks. Here is an easy way to make the class more fun and active, and hopefully more appealing to other players.

This is true, and I can't believe I overlooked it. How about 250TP shield bash, then Or, you could have a mechanic like Haymaker or Shield Swipe.

And yes I know they said something about separate PvP actions.
Nothing is stopping you from duo-ing with another Gld and chaining.... OH WAIT. Diminishing returns, which was already confirmed by Yoshi-p. So yeah that's not an issue.

As always, thoughts, criticism and output always welcome.
