Just a message for future development of the server/system.

I get that every MMO recently has been prone to launch issues. Understandably it's hard to predict how much growth you would have and how popular something will become.

Thinking back however I never had issues when trying to get into GuildWars2. Why is that?

    1) Overflow servers; just because the other world might be full. This was their "queue" system.

    2) Auto spin-up of new server VM's when needed.

    3) See #1 and #2.

Funny enough from the start they had:

    1) Cross-world parties.

    2) Cross-world mail.

    3) Cross-world chat.

    4) Cross-world friend lists.

Who cared if the world was full. You could join any world and not miss out on playing with friends.

I see the positives the team as done for the servers. I really do. It's been night and day versus 1.0. It would have been nice however if the time was taken to make things work properly. You don't plan for 5000 peak players / major time zone. You plan for "X"; regardless of time.

Auto-scaling setup right will actually save you money down the road. If you ask any competent system architect they will tell you the same thing.

    That being said. Thank you.

I know you're jobs are hard and it's only compounded by the people on this forum and other backlashes.

There's lots of us who appreciate you're hard work; so please keep it up

Its more network related. with being unable to predict what nework routes will get more traffic then others. its impossible to launch a game in america without experiencing issues. we pioneered the nationwide network infrastructure. but its old and poorly designed so there is no good way to predict where traffic is going to come from in high quantities. but once you know its not hard to fix. that's what every MMO has had issues with. adding more servers wont stop your network route thats not configured or setup to handle the traffic its piping communicate to the servers
