Bought 2 pre-orders. Couldn't log in at all. First the early access debacle where the codes wouldnt work. Finally the next day got in there was maint. all day. I was like "F THIS RAWR!!!" Contacted my CC company and cancelled.

I used this time to do the same. I also cancelled my two subscriptions to FFXI. Honestly, I feel a lot better about my life.lol Thank you for the easy decision SE.

Honestly, if you get this upset over what happens during the first week or even first month in an MMO, the game is better off without you.

yes, I am all for helping new player, anytime and our server (Masamune) is awesome, full of great people
But the threads are a bit overwhelming, hard to stay so positive lately
but definitely wont cry for people who are like "There is problems right now so I cancelled the game, you should do the same", it helps in no way
want the success of FF, if we went through 1.0, we can get through this starting mess, can't we?
might sound like a white knight (maybe I am even if I hate playing Paladin) but I really think those thread are futile

I know buddy, I feel you. It's annoying not to be able to play when you specifically paid more to play earlier. And the lack of communication from SE is not helping but unfortunately I don't think there is much to do for the moment apart to wait and see. Not sure what else I can advise... just wait until they sort things out.

FFXIV's community, ladies and gentlemen.

The game is not broken. The system that connects the servers is broken. There is the difference.

But the consequences are the exact same: people cannot play the game when they want to. I do not see the point on stating an irrelevant difference.

Lets see, I bought and played 1.0, played 3 phases of ARR beta, oh and was a LONG TIME FFXI player, so not sure what you were talking about here...I've been dedicated to FF MMO's since day one of XI, Day one of XIV, and now day 1 of XIV:ARR. This game is amazing IMO, except for the server issues.
