Unauthorized to Summon Mount

"Unauthorized to Summon Mount" message coming up when I try to use my mount.
I have my mounts on my action bar and when I click them it just says that on screen.

I only have the Goobbue mount and the Legacy Chocobo, and no GC mount.

I had this exact problem in Phase 4 and was expecting it to be fixed by launch, but I still am unable to mount up.

They are also darkened on my action bar while everything else on the action bar is not. Like when you level sync and and spells that are higher than your synced level get darkened out to show that you can't use them.

There was a similar problem reported on the Beta Forum, and I am also quite upset since it happened in the beta with my Lecagy Chocobo. I used the whistle, placed it in my hotbar and it was darkened in it, and it said I could not mount that chocobo, but I could still used the GC Chocobo and Gobbue. When I removed the Legacy Chocobo from my hotbar it disappeared from my mounts menu and I lost it. No whistle, no legacy chocobo.

Update: When I logged in yesterday the legacy chocobo was in my mount menu, my problem is solved. I hope your dilemma gets solved quickly Ronin.

After getting my chocobo license in a Grand Company quest I activated my other mounts as usable. Problem solved, though it really needs some new text to tell you that that's why you can't use your mount.
