Still can't play on the server I want too...

Poor decision to go the easy way by locking the server. What about people with friends already in the locked server? I cant ask my friends to quit and start anew neither am i going to play alone out in the cold on other server.

Hard locking ppl out in a mmo is a very inconsiderate move.

Im seriously thinking to give this game a pass because im so annoyed by this.

Thing is, I REALLY want to play the game, I have friends who have purchased this game, and are hopefully joining us tomorrow, although they won't be because the servers will be locked, and will be faulted with login restrictions, so we will eventually be on the server, just not at the same time.

On a side note, I have just asked one of my buds, if they are actually playing right now, they said no, they are just afk until later tonight (to keep their spot on the server), so I asked them, mind if I take your spot for a few hours? No reply, wonder why?

I really want to play with my friend on Excalibur, but it seems to be always locked. It's kinda frustrating, so I've been leveling a character on another server, but I don't want to get too far.

I think I'm going to try early in the morning when there are fewer people on. Maybe my luck will change then?

It worked for me - I finally got my choice char name on Diablo around mid-day today. better try sooner than later as folks who don't have EA or skipped ea will be out in force tomorrow.

Here is what i want to post
They didn't know how many early access had?
I mean how many people would get in this past weekend to upgrade their servers? (even legacy got huge problems)
I felt this like a BETA 5, but it isn't, we pay for early access, not for wait hours to get in a server (I even didn't get any quequ)

It is possible to manage this kind of situations.
- They knew how many get the early access
- They can put a limit in each server of how many people can do a character in.
- Make more server
- Upgrade their servers
- They can us an auto kick AFK players

I can keep going with this, but... I'm not an developer, I'm just a client who REALLY LOVE THIS GAME and want to PLAY it during weekends.

Like someone here say, I'm a patient person, but i payed for this, so i want it now.

I think it would be good of SE to post a list of servers which tells you the maximum number of characters allowed for that world and how many there are currently. That way everyone can see just how full or empty each world is and decide what they want to do then. Be good if they chucked in a free transfer for everyone as well so that groups of friends could all migrate together without having to restart etc.

I've been finding this so frustrating too. Everyone I know is either on Moogle or trying to get onto Moogle yet it's been closed practically all early access. If they gave out free world transfers for the first month then maybe I'd be alright about it but Square aren't doing anything to encourage and help people play together. Guild Wars 2 launch had cross-server partying, overflows and free world transfers (iirc) at launch and that went pretty smoothly. I just don't understand why Square haven't researched all this.
