When is the game launched?

I'm finding conflicting information about when the game is officially open. It was supposed to be the 27th as early access ends today, but I've read in a producer letter that it's actually the 29th, so Thursday?

I hope it's not been changed because I'm already annoyed that you had to actually pay for 1.0 to get early access. I paid for the 1.0 CE so I kinda expected to be treated the same as everyone else but apparently not.

Any ideas?

Its the 27th the 30th is when EA ends to give time to people waiting for stuff in the mail.

Early Access is extend until the 29th. Launch will follow afterwards. You're not the only one who paid and you're not entitled to a different schedule, so please be patient.

Launch is still the 27th.

Early access codes are valid until the 30th. This gives time for the copies to ship to you if you preordered. This ensures there is no interruption in your service even if it takes until the 29th to get your copy.

Where are you getting this information? I have not seen anything that says launch has been delayed past the 27th. Those who have EA can play until the 30th without having to enter a code to continue playing in case they ordered online and do not receive the game in time.

I haven't seen anything but for now, I believe its safe to assume 2 AM PST since that's been their time for everything else. That said... No one knows yet

I haven't seen anything official anywhere here, on lodestone or in annoucements in the clients.

2 possible / most likely times / theories:

1. 9 am GMT / 2 am PDT Tuesday (as that seems to be the usual times to start / end the "day" during betas and now EA)
2. "Midnight" from 26 to 27 August but then by WHAT time zone??

It's the 27th here in Japan (has been for 27 minutes!) but no dice. I'm guessing it'll be 2AM PDT (6PM here) once again. Which means I can't start downloading the game files until then. Yay!

I think they'll let non-beta / non-EA players to login earlier to the client to allow downloading the game data and patches and simply limit joining to servers / pushing play button. It was the same for all previous stages so far. As long as you have your DD active or have already entered the activation code form physical packaging indeed.
