Does it get better?

Level 20 Thaumaturge, been doing the first 2 dungeons and I gotta say.. It's been a terribly boring experience
I'm aiming for Black Mage and I really hope it gets better. It's just so darn slow-paced and it doesn't do any good with only 5isch~ spells to use.
Does the mechanic change any at higher levels? Will Black Mages have lots and lots of more skills to use?
Maybe I should try another class? What would you recommend?

Sadly, no it doesn't get better. That's one of my major gripes about the game. Even at level 50 BLM you're still using the same spells mostly, with 2 or 3 additional ones used less frequently.

try out another class, a thau might not be for u...I played one and instantly hated it but I love LNC

I dunno, I have quite a lot of fun loading up as many DOT's as I possibly can and switching back and forth between umbral fire/ice. I hardly find downtime and even sometimes mix up my rotation. Conjurer on the other hand is a bit bland and I feel like I put peoples lives at risk when I try to swap to Cleric and burn a bit between heals.

So far ive taken DOT's from conjurer, which is Aero, and hopefully as I get more jobs up I will be able to cross class more. I barely started Arcanist so we will see what I can get from there but ive only been able to get Ruin from Arcanist but yeah.

My rotation for now is basically, Blizzard > Transpose > Fire > Fire > Fire(till mp low) > Transpose > Thunder > Aero > Blizzard (waiting on Transpose cooldown) > Transpose > Fire..... Etc... Etc.. Etc.

Some people like the new blm, I don't mind it but it could be better. Recommend you just try another class though because it doesn't change much

Virus is "transferable" from arcanist, not sure about bio ...

How about jobs then BLM? Do they change much from the original class?
So far I've tried pugilist and lancer. But, I actually think I'll cancel my pre-order. It's just too slow to keep me interested for anymore then a few mins..
