GC Promotions

So, I have completed my Rank 2 Grand Company Hunters log.

I have done the trial of embers (ifrit).

Still can't seem to get a rank up from my GC.


Anyone else running into this as well? Do I need to progress further in the main story?

You pay for the promotion and eventually you will do quests too for them.

To clarify, you need company currency to be promoted. The amount needed increases with each promotion and every third or fourth promotion will also have a quest. At least, that's how it was in 1.0. Probably going to be the same in 2.0.

You need to pay GC seals to get promoted.

Talk to the GC officer you first talked with to join the GC. (Right next to the rewards guy)

I cannot get to the next rank.

I have no quests available.

I cannot give seals.

"According to our records, you have yet to full the commander's requirements. I recommend you speak with her to receive your trial."

The last quest I got from her was for Darkhold. Nothing after the quest was finished.

yup, same here.
Rank 2 Grand Company Hunters log, 25k+ seals and couldn't advance to Second Flame Lieutenant.
There is no quest from the flame commander.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've completed Darkhold. The main guy in the Maelstrom tells me to talk to the commander for trial. But she doesn't give me anything :/
