While the not being able to login bit is irritating, I am somewhat pleased that the game has such a high level of interest.. as others have said it is a great game when you can manage to login ^^;

Or c) their NA datacenter is still hosed because the company that they're renting from or the team they've hired to manage it is incompetent.

I play on Hades and don't speak any japanese, mainly because on beta 4 moogle world was locked and hades was my server on FFXI before the merge, still i do all the duty finders just fine just check the languages J E F D also be sure to Level up a tank or healer as second job to avoid long waits on duty finders and use the auto_translate to comunicate as they will notice you don't understand what they speak, and on critical situations they will speak english .
there are more people like me so if we come together on duty remember to share LS pearls free comanys are not the only way to be social at the start you migth have many pearls but soon they will populate the most known ones.
