Please Implement a standard Auction House

Now one thing that ff14 marketboard has that is absolutely amazing imo is the market history. I do wish it saved more transactions but that is likely a server storage issue or something. But either way the market history lets you know how faster the item is moving in the economy. Like maybe only 3 of this item sells a day so you know it might take time to sell unlike an item that sells 300 a day.

The current marketboard and retainer system is a great work in progress and I look forward to seeing SE build on it and finish up the parts that on it that are clearly not finished.

Why can't we just rightclick "Sell Item" from our inventory when we're at the market window?
It's a completely needless step to give it to the retainer.
Also, you can't check prices when you're in your retainer's window. You have to be at the Market board to do that.

If people really like a cumbersome system, they're mental.

You actually can do this, you can also check prices from the retainer, I think you need to spend some more time with your retainers or re-read the help/tutorial.

SE there is no reason to have two options to sell items from your retainer and your inventory when you can do both from one selection. (maybe this is a PS3 limitation, but it doesn't need to be enforced on PC's also)

The market system is pretty awful, there are far better systems on free to play games.

You can't preview armour / weapons.

You can't see current going prices when listing something for sale.


The item search is awkward to use and limited.

Need to click multiple tiles just to sell 1 item, most games you just right click to enter the item for sale.


Overall it's the worst auction/market I've seen in any mmorpg to be honest.

They definitely need to add some better search filters. Food searching only lists ID and Quantity which doesn't seem to do anything when clicked. Its hard to find food thats good for certain classes. Also the food is pretty lackluster considering how much you make at one time and the effects. The cost/benefit ratio is heavily stacked towards costs with Culinary.

Also you should be able to select multiple items that are the same at the very least to change price on when adjusting prices.

This new market/retainer system is the best I've seen in any MMO.

Are you joking? Tera? GW2? This market coupled with the clunky interface is the most cumbersome *I've* ever seen.

Instead of an auction house I'd prefer to see an exchange-like system where buyers can also place bids using retainers, similar to GW2. The market is stagnant as it is.

I agree. I am aware that you can view sales history from your retainer, and I still agree with op very much so.

I hate the market as well. A standard auction in other mmorgs was already perfected why over complicate things needlessly. Over complicate stats and ways to build characters but an auction house... really.
