GC Promotions

I've completed both ranks 1 and 2 of the Maelstrom hunting log and now he says speak to the commander for a quest you must do - but the commander (presumably the person to his left) has nothing for me.

So how do you get a promotion?

Currently Chief Storm Sergeant if there's any kind of restriction on rank.

+1 Wandering this myself (or at least a similar situation)

For me my commander gave me a trial (Shadows Uncast) to go and do the Dzemael Darkhold dungeon. Completed the quest, completed the first two pages of my GC hunting log, and yet I'm still being told I have to reach rank two of the hunting log and complete a trial (although the commander has nothing else for me). Starting to think ranks above Chief are not available yet unless you had lieutenant from 1.0.

My guild mate and I are having the same exact problem with not being able to be promoted past Chief Storm Sergeant with Maelstrom.

Along with the previous two posters, we completed both the rank 2 hunting log and the quest involving completion of Dzemael Darkhold. The promotion NPC still tells us we need to speak with the Storm Commander (the NPC who gives the Dzemael Darkhold quest), but that NPC has nothing to say.

We are on Leviathan and are both level 50.

Havent done Dzemael yet , it doesnt say you need to do that before either.
I have same problems with commander , chief storm sergeant , no promotion

i didn't tried promotion yet in 2.0 , but my thoughts in hunting log ranks you done maybe is for lowest GC ranks , but since you haved high rank from 1.0 you have to do more H.log kills before be able to promote >?

hunting log 3 is not unlocked before you are promoted... so cant do those.
It specificaly says you need to do a trial after hunting log 1+2

Seems to be unavailable at the moment as I've done all the preliminary work yet they wont budge.

I'm 50, and also Chief Storm Sergeant ... can't promote. Done the dungeon and 2nd log.

I had this problem as well, you have to follow the story quest until you finish The Praetorium. After that she will give you the trial.
