Seriously... character creation

I been wondering...

Does stats play a part in what you chose as your character?

For example, what race is best as Black Mage?

I find myself being caught in another issue, its a tricky one...
Hairstyles, I need more. The ones thats there is just inadequate.
I am trying to find a hairstyle for me that has long hair, but tied in the back, not just hanging there like dead weight.

From Yoshida himself, no matter what race you choose, the racial stats will not be significant at end game. There's not a "favored race", and, as Yoshida states: Feel free to choose whatever race you like to! Now, if you think it as a roleplayer, it's different and I would choose Lalafel for a caster.

I'm with you with the last one. We need more hairstyles and more beards. We'll be looking forward the barber soon to be implemented.

The stats differences are really minor - about 3 to 4 points max depending on race / clan however for BLM look for combo with highest INT.

Don't forget to also pick the correct deity since that has a minor effect on magical output as well.
