So it seems I was able to fix my issue by switching graphics cards with my Fiance. She uses the card I had in my PC, my GTX 460, and I use her 260 now and both pcs run FFXIV fine. So maybe it had something to do with my combination of hardware while playing FFXIV or something. I build pc's and am pretty pc literate, but I haven't a clue why swapping graphics cards solved my issue. She plays the game fine with the graphics card I was using while my pc was shutting itself down while in the game. So the card itself is fine. Good luck to the rest of you who continue to suffer this problem. I hope you find a way to resolve your issue so you can enjoy this amazing game for all it is.

You swapped with a less power-hungry GPU; sounds like the amperage coming from your PSU is too low.

Sounds like you're overheating. Have you made absolutely certain that your temps aren't going higher than 60 after long term use?

Only other thing that comes to mind is your PSU - If you lose a 'power GOOD' signal for even a second, you'll get a shutdown.

    1) How old is the PSU

    2) Whens the last time you cleaned your system?
