Bump to the top.
I am also suffering the same problems and am hopeful SE can give us the option to size our screens. Doesn't seem like that would be difficult to implement.

I'm having the same issue. I hope this gets fixed, soon!
I am on plasma panasonic and it looks normal to me, But some times I get a screen that goes off the screen and will just L1+press duck on the right thumb stick. It turn its in to the mouse mode and I move the screen I need into sight , Is it possible got something off on your ps3 console or tv setting. Also had a friend had some issues and he found a solution in the game config menu and got his t.v working right not sure what he did, but he had the chat window that was small and part screen was missing, and I think that what you guys are saying. Is the same issue so might want to check the system config in the game ?
The UI as a whole can not be re-sized, only some of the individual HUD windows can.
I think you have sorely missed my point. You originally commented about you reading there was a fix? And I was saying that perhaps you misread and that the fix you thought was forthcoming was actually just the HUD window re-size option, which clearly is not a fix.No, I don't think so! I knew about the HUD re-sizing and although it doesn't sort the overscan out, the HUD resizing has helped somewhat for me. Still when info pops up, I can't read the entire message as it's cut off, so I know what you mean about re-sizing the HUD not helping in that regard.
It could even have been on the beta forums that I read this, I just can't remember. It wasn't a definite "yes they're going to fix it" but I'm pretty sure someone mentioned somewhere that it was something SE might look into!
I love being able to switch from PC and PS3, and yes the graphics aren't as good as the PC but that doesn't bother me, it's the fact that I can't read the entirety of the pop-up messages, and would really like to get some official confirmation as to whether this will be sorted in a later update. I can wait, just wanna know!!
Do you really think myself and everyone else are as ignorant not to investigate a simple solution as this? This is how it should be, an option in the system configuration, yet it is absent, hence all the complaints.
Strange. I play on PS3 and have zero issues. I have played the game on three different TVs and all have worked. Ranging in size of 22" - 55" all wide screen.
It's a brand new ps3 so all the settings are default. Using HDMI cables. Hope that helps
It's clearly an issue with different televisions, yes. Which is why NEARLY ALL games make you adjust your display before you are even able to do anything or at least have that option within their settings.
And I think you're missing what I'm saying! I said that no, I don't think it was that, I remember reading about this (possibly on the beta forums) and someone said that they'd read/heard that SE would possibly look at sorting the display for PS3 at a later date. Sorry if I'm confusing you, but unfortunately the beta forums are no longer accessible so I cannot find the post that I remember reading it on!
And I'll re-confirm that it would be good if we could have an official response from SE as to whether they are planning to fix it!

While I believe most already tried this, my screen had some parts cropped out, and this was solved by changing the tv's widescreen setup (changing my PS3 setup or my game's setup didn't work). My tv has two types of widescreen configurations and other 2 non-widescreen ones, I kept changing it until I got the whole screen perfectly fit and I had no cropped edges. I didn't change the resolution on my TV either.
I am not at home right now to write the setup that worked for me, but if anyone that is having this problem hadn't tried that before it is worth it.
