Square Enix discouraging playing with friends?

This was brought up before, people wanted easymode (duty finder). People also complained about having to party for exp (which builds community). So what do you get? A solo able MMO, that discourages accomplishment, but focuses on using a in-game match making tool which in turns, lowers difficulty for casual play. Tsk tsk tsk.

I so agree with you rution19. The charm about FFXI was that you can't do ANYTHING by yourself. FFXIV was made to be an MMO for "everyone". I still like it and will play it.
