I made my girl on Ultros....and I cannot get in, it is constantly "full". I made a new girl on Faerie Server and *click* right in...every time. I am thinking about just starting over on that server since I am only level 6!

I have not tried this so I'm not sure exactly what file to transfer, but the config files are in Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn. I have 2 folders (assuming 1 for each of the characters I have) and 2 files, one FFXIV.cfg and FFXIV_BOOT.cfg. If I had to guess, it's the folder you want to transfer, it should be named something like FFXIV_CHR002340234023B. As far as I can tell, there's no way to tell which folder is for which character.

exactly what i've been thinking last weekend lol
it's such a hassle to set everything all over again on another character
the UI, the character settings, etc

Go to your "My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV A Realm Reborn" directory, find the folder of the character whose UI you would like to copy (it'll just be named something like CHAR_40000blahblahblah so good luck if you have multiple characters) and copy all 10 of the .DAT files inside into your additional character directories, overwriting the files already there. That will copy your UI, character settings, keybinding, camera settings, pretty much everything.
