This game has WAY bigger issues than some server problems.

Totally agree here with the OP, but we'll likely fall on deaf ears, at least unless the game starts to tank a bit after launch.

XIV is about as generic as it comes currently. The last hope I had was the main scenario, which i'm becoming rapidly tired with due to the fluff.

Not only this but I have found the quests, main story quests etc to be very boring, dull and generic. People expect more from a Final Fantasy title and they expect much more from a game that is charging a monthly subscription fee.

I have wanted this game to succeed since 1.0 launch... I have wanted it to succeed so badly and after the game having a second chance I thought there is no way they can mess this up... but it seems they can and did... and it is too late to go back now..

I beg to differ, I've found the story to be one of the game's strongest points. If you actually bother to read the quest text...

I do agree with some stuff such as the items being a bit generic and bland, the FATE being just one huge spam AOE, and the fact that it kind of does feel like theres no danger in the game and its a bit easy. Hopefully with later patches they will add some more in. By no means do I think that the game is boring though, and its not going to make me stop playing. I still find the game to be absolutely beautiful, and I have confidence that with the later patches it will be more interesting. I just hope SE will actually consider what people are saying. But there are so many malicious posts I fear that they might become jaded to it and not actually seek out the helpful stuff that a lot of people are trying to get through.

Before I go: We've seen lv. 50 gear and people have used means to see the stats on the best gear in the game. Furthermore, Yoshi-P has stated gear as I described it is working as intended, though there may be plans to have interesting gear in the future.

Interesting is subjective. Your idea of "Interesting" seems to be rather weird.

I am also seeing a trend among so many posts.. and I said the same to myself "don't worry they will fix things with more patches" but isn't it the same as what people say in beta phases? "don't worry it's beta, they will fix things still" and now it continues with people defending it because they can fix things with patches. How far does it have to go before people actually start admitting they are dissatisfied with certain aspects of the game?
