For some reason the forum just refuses to allow me to make any post, so I'm posting it here, hopefully one of you can repost this in the general forums for everyone to see (assuming it hasn't been posted and buried by the whiners already).

It's in Japanese and I don't know if there's a translated version, but basically it went like this:

1. He starts be apologizing to those on the NA/EU servers for all the problems they've had during the early access period and promises to make it up to them in the future.

2. He is then briefly emotionally overwhelmed. Others began cheering him on and applauding.

3. He then describes how he initially signed on to the project almost 3 years ago, wanting to help the game become better out of his love for the FF series and MMO games. Facing the daunting task, he described how he felt like he was playing the tank class, standing at the head of the project and led the team through to this point.

4. He explains this was only possible because of the supports from the players, and the staff who stuck with him throughout these years.

5. Even though the game has officially launched, he describes it as only the first little baby step forward. There is little room for breather as the team will need to tackle the next patch and expansions right away.

6. He understands there are players who may have decided to leave because of the frustrations associated with the game, as well others who criticize it for its issues. As a gamer himself, he also understands how this can impact an online game such as FFXIV. Nevertheless, he recognizes there are those who were willing to support and wait for them, and he wants to continue to deliver a game that he can be proud of to everyone.

7. He calls this the first Final Fantasy that was created together with the players, and promises to continue developing this game together with the community for the next 5, 10 year and beyond.

More importantly...actions speak louder then words.
Right now...thousands and thousands of players can't play the game. that needs to be fixed..and fixed soon. this was supposed to be there second chance after failing v1.0. this is not gonna do them any favors...


i'm losing faith myself. which is sad because when i can play...the game is amazing! but if i can't log in or play with friends...i'm not wasting my time.

You can't post much in general yet since your class is only lvl 21. You get 20 posts in general discussion when your lvl 50, 3 when your below lvl 25 etc. These are the stupid Square-enix forum limitations that they added due to the bad moderation and massive amount of trolls in the beta forums.

I think I might actually level up just to post there to clear up the glaring misconceptions that seem to pop up (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Personally, I'm getting tired of making a fuss. I can already see what's going to happen: people who cannot stand these launch issues will leave, others will remain. The server issues will eventually go away, and everyone will look back on this in a couple of months as yet another typical MMO launch. The damage is already done, yes, but chances are many of those who left can be enticed back once their friends tell them in a few weeks that the server issues are ironed out and everything is fine again. Life goes on.

I disagree. its not just a fuss. Nor is it just another MMO launch.
This is Squares second chance after admitting they failed v1.0.
If they player base that gave them a second chance can't even play the game...they wont be back. sure the hard core fans might stay. but a game that is subscription base depends on the numbers.

So while my patient side kinda wants these people to leave sooner so i can play...its also bad for the games survival if they do....

No you can post there before lvl 25. You can only make 3 replies in 24 hours, they cannot be more then 1000 characters long (you can edit to add more) and you are not allowed to open any topics till your lvl 25, to which you get 1 new topic in 24 hours for you to open. Then as you level up in game (granted if you ever get into the game with error 1017 and so on) you will gain more posts to use in 24 hours with a maximum of 20 posts every 24 hours at lvl 50.

You can post freely though in new player help and technical issues area.
