Not trying to be rude or insensitive to your frustrations, however I'm not seeing the people getting locked out as a big deal. They signed the DOS and although the situation really sucks (I'm in the same boat), continuing to complain about something that SE is actually addressing and trying to fix however slow it they are at doing so doesn't help the situation. But your point about 1st transfer free being one type of compensation for the mishaps does sound like a good plan that SE should consider.
