No Voice overs?

I'm not sure why but I have no voice overs for anything in my game. Not the opening video, the main storyline quests, or anything. Has this happened to anyone else?

I see the setting where I can change the language for it in the configuration and I've tried English and Japanese but I still have no voices.

Not sure, haven't made it back on yet...I noticed in open beta I had VO for the opening, and than made it to 19 with no more VO, so wonder if there is some pathing issues between the server saying your watching the cutscene and the server not understanding you are watching the cutscene...honestly no clue

NONE of mine do, at all. I've done up to the Ifrit fight without hearing a word from anyone, including the opening cinematic. My friend who is playing on PS3 showed me that there are indeed voices on his version, but none for me.

Cutscenes that are voiced are mostly random, with no clear pattern to when it's added and when it's not. It almost feels like they didn't get as much done as they had planned and just went with what they had so far.

One thing I find particularly strange is that some of the cutscenes that we've heard with voice-overs in trailers (like the opening to the Ifrit battle), are mute in the game.

They should at least have had all the cinematic scenes with voice-overs. I got the impression that's what they aimed for. It feels very inconsistent like this.

Inuakurei: That makes me wonder if it's not working the way it should. During phase 4 I heard about people with similar experiences, but I just assumed it was a beta problem.

I reported it during the beta and assumed it wold have been fixed now, and it appears that not many other people have this issue so I can only assume it's something on my end but I don't know what it could be.

No, I've been having problems as well, My opening cutscene doesn't have VO's, and it kind of sucks because I'm doing a let's play. Reading all the dialogue out loud gets tiring (Especially with Lominsan accents). I would have thought at least the opening CS would have VO...

Square-Enix version of full main story voice overs is much different from ours apparently.
