So, the only moderately useful thing I can interpret from your post is asking this: "Why are people posting about problems they are encountering instead of doing something else?"
1. Because posting the problems helps SE know about the problem, how large it is, and what caused it.
2. Certain errors don't just 'go away' on their own; specifically, Error 3102 (your character is still logged in) is game-breaking to the point that someone SE-side has to take action, or servers have to be reset, for you to try to login and get hit with Error 1017 (World is currently full.) Customer Service isn't open on the weekends, so the only way to let them know is posting on the forums (still a long-shot, but at least it's a possibility).
3. Forum posters are those that have the deepest connection to a game. If there are 5,000 people posting problems on the forums, SE can estimate that there's 50,000 people that are having the SAME problems, but aren't posting. If there are 500 people threatening to unsub, there are 5,000 people who will just quietly walk away.
