    the 3 things I simply CANNOT UNDERSTAND:

    1-) why they have the same ammount of servers for Japan and NA/EU? They know how many people preorder, they HAVE the metrics. Did they really expect that the servers would hold?

    2-) Why in heaven's name did they take out the selection boxes on the quest journal from beta 3 that you could use to choose which quests you want on the tracker? That simply makes no sense

    3-) If they wanted to restrict login on the heavy-pop servers, why didn't they use the QUEUE? Is there a maximum load on the queue as well?

    Well... I'd LOVE to see someone from SE answer me those 3 things that simply baffles me ever since this whole thing started. Any thoughts?

    4. I see dozens if not hundreds of people standing around doing nothing while those that want to play get server is full. How hard would it be to make an idle timeout FORCED on players until population stabilizes? People tell me they AFK for hours in fear of not getting back in, thus causing a bigger problem. Everyone is afraid to log off, sending server capacity to maximum. Even FFXI had a AFK disconnect option.

    1. A huge number of preorders happened between beta phase 4 and now. Sure they have an idea how many people are trying to get in now, but it's much different that it was 2 weeks ago.

    3. I haven't seen it over 100. I would much prefer to be told "You are number 1000 in the queue" than "Server full. Try again when a spot opens up"

    Right the problem is people are afraid to logoff so they just sit there and go to sleep/work. And with the que system sometimes not on people have to wait hours to even get into a que.. Needs to be an AFK kick after some time.

    still their fault for making only a 2 day open beta to test the exact thing that is breaking up right now, this problems didnt happen last week exactly because there were enough ppl on they should have made it a longer beta test and tried to convince more and more players to join even if they needed to wipe everything afterward. and even if they were confident that everything was working ok and had an estimation on how many players were going to play they need to have a back up plan, so you are not prepared in case your game become a huge success? o.O??

    and really, i cant understand how today, with so many titles out, someone launches a game without a working queue for login and an AFK disconnect implemented. everything would be better then current system, better to have a 30k+ queue then to have to try endless for a dim chance of getting in. i feel like im back in 2000 playing Dragon Raja for the first time =P

    The highest I've been in a queue is #437. Its WAY better than spamming error 1017.

    exactly, an option. by default it was 60 minutes, but you can set it off so you never log off. and this was meant so that people can have AFK markets (which this game solved by having retainers)

    It's still not technically an Open Beta... that would imply everybody can jump on and play just by having an account. This is still somewhat limited to P4 people plus those who didn't get in that pre-ordered.

    Guess you haven't been looking at SE updates have you? To summarize, they turned OFF the queue in order to resolve the Duty/Instance issues that they were having. Additionally, once that was fixed, they wanted to do a ramp up as more users were online using the Duty/Instance servers so they can see load issues. Basically this is why folks are getting a 1017 error on the world being full and no queue is offered.

    So far, the best solution I've seen is to either wait it out OR hop on a JP server. Apparently they aren't as heavily populated.

    All reasonable concerns to which you will get no answers to, because they seem to be MIA. This is starting to remind me of Final Fantasy XI, in a a bad way.
