I know this seems small and perhaps unimportant but being able to minimize the game screen to do other tasks would be great.

There is a windowed mode you can use?
It would however be nice to minimize full screen without it crashing, I use two monitors and it would be nice to have the game exclusively on one of them, in full screen mode.
I don't like windowed mode. Lot's of people don't. lol
But... It's a great way to close the game.
Whenever I don't feel like waiting to shut down I'll just alt+tab :P
Yes please. I prefer playing games in fullscreen mode, but not at the cost of knowing if I accidentally hit alt+tab (something I've done repeatedly while trying to hit my IME hotkeys) I will instantly crash the game and fail any levequests I'm on. I have multiple computers, but being able to look up things on a single computer while playing in fullscreen is kind of standard. The windowed mode also has worse performance ingame, and considering what a resource hog this game is it needs every drop it can get.
Really, this is a standard feature in any game that's been made in the past 5 years at least, I was honestly shocked when FF14 hadn't solved the problem that FFXI players have been rightfully complaining about for years.
Window mode is not a solution, we need to be able to have actual fullscreen and be able to alt tab
I agree. I think the argument for not being able to do so, to be really ridiculous.
Windowed sucks -.-;
