Seeing as how I can't log in to either of the characters I started now due to login limitations does that mean we get to server transfer away so we can continue to play these characters? Or can we just kiss that time spent goodbye?

This seems like a reasonable request for sure, free transfers to compensate the players
and hopefully find a world they can actually play in.
Good idea!

If SE cared all about its playerbase, it would credit everyones account with 1 or 2 free transfers.
FFXI: Phoenix- Reaperx
FFXIV: Balmung(2013-2017)Hyperion(2017-current)- Synik Black
Although what good it will do at the moment I don't know, seeing as how no NA servers are taking new characters right now. I do foresee populations on these current servers being an issue though even after they roll out more.
I agree, they should apply one free credit transfer to everyone that has created a character in Open Beta, or Early Access. Maybe roll the transfers out in waves? Not sure of the havoc it might cause if nearly half the population of FFXIV all transferred at the same time.
My friend also agrees with a free one time server transfer
