No I am with you on just getting logged in part earlier today I was in for 5 mins till server was shut for maintenance I got on after and then my daughter came home and tried to log in through PS3 nope no luck all the way to this maintenance. Like I put in my thread I am thinking of just migrating over to JP severs and squatting.

The Japan servers are working so well because the Japanese team are there with them. The responsibility of the NA/EU servers lies solely with the NA/EU crew. Which, if I recall correctly, are branched in Canada?

Also, while some people went to the Japanese servers merely to compare the differences between NA/EU and JP servers, others went there on a rage. Some NA/EU players even went so far as to attempt a server crash on Durandal. In fact, it was promoted on these forums right here. The OP has sense changed their post due to the sheer amount of harassment reports on it.

Some people had even go as far as saying "Final Fantasy XIV: Hiroshima Reborn"...

But overall, I do agree about the NA/EU servers and this entire situation being crap. I just don't think yelling at the Japanese branch of Square-Enix is necessary so much as yelling at the North American branch that's housing the servers. (I understand Square-Enix HQ is in fact in Japan, but other people know that and automatically assume it's their fault when they're an ocean away from our servers.)

As somebody who is thoroughly enjoying the game, I can't comprehend how frustrating it must be to be dealing with these issues - I would be losing it. So that excuses the aggressiveness of the OP, but surely you can recognise that making more posts about this isn't really helping; do you honestly doubt they are doing everything they can to fix it? Or that they won't do their best to make it up to the NA\EU player base? It sucks ass right now, but surely it won't be much longer.

No it will be a while till it calms down we are in early launch, what happens when it goes completely live and the servers gets bogged again with the newbs.

Seriously, Tuesday is most likely going to be a disaster based on what has been happening with the early access.

They may be able to get everything under control, but I'm not sure how many people will stick with them long enough for that to happen.
SqEnix's reputation was severely tarnished by version1.0 and a lot of people are giving them another chance with version2.0, but I feel that a lot of the player-base will not be so accepting this time around if they are feeling like they are getting burned again.

I'm not too fussed about the current situation. Yes, I wasn't able to play as much as I wanted, but at least they gave us the possibility to play before the actual launch. Now they can address the problems beforehand and hopefully make it more successful for the people who didn't have EA. I agree that it's redicculous that JP have so many servers and we NA/EU only have a handful. Do they even have enough players to complete FATEs? Haha ;D
