Materia System

Materia is Latin for "material", so i don't see what the problem is referring it by its correct meaning.

Actually, that's another thing I don't like about it, I just didn't think it was relevant enough a point to make in my previous post. But since you brought it up...

It doesn't translate well, since the English word is 'material'. Which is simply an item component used in a crafting recipe.

I think it would be confusing.

"Hey, what are the materials needed to make that item?"
"What? You don't need any materia."
"No, materials."

Materia is just a strange term that doesn't feel right. It's like you tried to say 'material', but you forgot the 'L'.
