Yes Materia was in Final Fantasy VII but it was in the latin language before that.
Materia is Latin for "material", so i don't see what the problem is referring it by its correct meaning. Materia can also be used to describe matter in both its physical and chemical form, SE is just naming it how they see it.
Plus people whine all day about not enough FF trade marks and here people are whining about having a Fianl Fantasy trade mark. People saying Materia was only in FF 7 not only are wrong on that level, but also Materia is nothing more then the trade mark crystal that is in every Final Fantasy just in a different form.
I'm fine with Materia. No, I'm not just fine. I'm turned on.
I'm here all night long, now change the subject into something that actually requires you use your brain a little instead of deciding on what name would've been better for the system since majority of people have supported this name since it was introduced for FFXIV and it seems SE has made it official as per the players' request. So move on, nothing is going to change that any more.
Maybe if the minority makes MORE posts regarding it. It will look like MORE people are wanting it changed! Argggg... why are they so smart!?I'm here all night long, now change the subject into something that actually requires you use your brain a little instead of deciding on what name would've been better for the system since majority of people have supported this name since it was introduced for FFXIV and it seems SE has made it official as per the players' request. the system looks great, the name sounds great, I'm feeling great!
Materia ftw!
Materia is fine, whats wrong with taking names from their own game? all games do it. Only people who are against this idea are anti-FF players who want to change this game lol.
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
Many of people pointed at necessity to wear low/mid-level armor/weapon to convert them into materia. Well... You can convert your boucanier item into materia, maybe you can convert your dodore doublet into materia, you can convert anything into materia and then attach into any armor. So I don't understand what about all complaints.
I like this idea, not only does it give ways to upgrade our gear but it removes excess raw materials from the market as well as giving us something to spend gil on.
