Oceanic and SEA players are pretty well organized. We chose our servers a long time in advance. I'd say close to 80% of all our playerbase are on the chose servers which are:

JP- Tonberry and Masamune(legacy) - The majority have chosen to go to the JP servers.
NA/EU - Behemoth.

As such, most of our playerbase is not having most of the issues.. However we are all struggling to fit on those servers. Thousands of which are unable to create new characters for Tonberry.

50 Servers on launch was a joke, and whoever did the research for SE is a clown. GW2, which launched with more players launched with 50 worlds - however each world was in a server cluster of up to 10 overflow servers each and still ran into some congestion(Yes, near 500 servers total). Overflow servers would clone the world, and place players on different servers inside the same world so people could continue to play un-interupted.

Without SE actually confirming how they set up the servers, It is fairly safe to assume it is severely lacking.

What will happen tomorrow when the 300,000+ non-legacy 1.0 players try to come and play the game? I can tell you right now, very few will be playing and a large majority will not give the game a 2nd chance after what happened with 1.0.
