Think so, the problem i see is that by example , when i played FFXI, the real leet gear was salvage/odin gear , and not HNM gear(for the most part).
Salvage was just to much fun.Dont know what happened after i left ffxi.
Those were the times.
I still dream about that full set of usukane i never completed , /cry
I was NIN and SAM in XI so almost all of my gear was from instances. I had full Usukane, shadow ring/mantle. No matter what nothing was leeter than D ring. Nothing.
HNM drops were WAY harder to get than instanced stuff no matter how hard the actual fight is.
I think you just explained my problem with HNMs type of mechanics better than i could.Harder fight should be = better rewards. Is a flaw in the concept of the game imo. They were harder to get solely because of competition. On a PvE game world NMs on 24h is a mistake imo.
If this was a PvP game and you fight others to get the reward i would agree with you 100%, but unfortunatly a "claim" fight is not fun or healthy.Claiming faster =/= better.
It doesn't matter how hard a fight is though. If it's possible to do everyone will be able to organize and do it if it's instanced. Which leads to everyone getting the gear in a few months...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNknL...feature=relmfuWe do as well, but Emulate is definitely a deciding factor. If its not for Emulate, we just throw in someone that can keep hate with more HP than should be needed and its GG.
But your 6man party is within the 4-8 party range that SE promotes.
Is that an issue now? You can low man NMs, the games too easy?
Too easy bro.
In a perfect case scenario when this happens, harder challenges would be introduced. But i see your point, even if i dont agree with it , mainly becouse i never really enjoyed my 3 months camping KB for the damned ring or the 2 speed belts i got.Bigest waste of my life right there, personally i would not want to repeat that.It doesn't matter how hard a fight is though. I camped KA for 2 years before I got a belt for my NIN. I never felt like I wasted anything. I felt unlucky, but accomplished. Something I haven't felt in this game at all.In a perfect case scenario when this happens, harder challenges would be introduced. But i see your point, even if i dont agree with it , mainly becouse i never really enjoyed my 3 months camping KB for the damned ring or the 2 speed belts i got.Bigest waste of my life right there, personally i would not want to repeat that.

No, if it is really hard, casual players might even take years to get it, like rdm AF2.It doesn't matter how hard a fight is though. If it's possible to do everyone will be able to organize and do it if it's instanced. Which leads to everyone getting the gear in a few months...

I don't see what is wrong with casual people eventually getting great items, you elites will get it much faster anyway, there is no need to block access to the normal people who don't have time to spend 3hrs "waiting"
RDM AF2 wasnt hard, was limited to doing it X amount of times per week and low drop rate...my entire POINT.No, if it is really hard, casual players might even take years to get it, like rdm AF2.

people got bored of salvage. And zeni got introduced. I never got a chance to do salvage. And i really wanted that morrigan set for my rdm ; ;Think so, the problem i see is that by example , when i played FFXI, the real leet gear was salvage/odin gear , and not HNM gear(for the most part).
