The smaller the window, the more people that don't live in the right timezones are disadvantage and cut out of the content completely.

I had suggested it so it pops more frequently than 24 hours. I simply think 24 hour timer is a bit much. If it pops once every 8 hours instead of 24 then it's up 4 times a day, people in different time zones at least have a shot at it.

some people are trying to mediate. More pops a day means more timezones covered. Personally I don't even find the need for a mediation.
This game needs content. Making content less accessible for the sake of some self elected hardcore's ego is counterproductive.
