Thread: SE, just keep moving forward.

At this point, just keep pushing forward. You're going to have people picking apart every little thing you do or don't do. Since the number of people playing already exceeds the anticipated amount, a few lost subs is going to mean nothing in the long run.

Besides these server issues, the rest of the game feels solid and it should be an understood fact that these things will be taken care of at some point very soon. Some who threaten to quit will, some won't and some just don't care and are waiting for the fix. Regardless, we have a good game on our hands.

If you feel the need to appeal to the upset vocal mass, feel free, but you also have a good portion of players that are patiently waiting and eagerly anticipating the time when I can log in again.

in the end, nobody is going to remember if the first few weeks or month had some hiccups, only whether or not the game is good.

Exactly! And the game IS very good! The errors are just unbelievably frustrating. Once that's over and fixed, people will be too busy playing/looking for other things to nitpick to pay attention to this.

Look i understand where you are coming from here, but allow me to express my dismay at your words of "a few lost subs is going to mean nothing in the long run." I haven't been able to log on all day sir. I am not angry but i would certainly enjoy playing. Just because they have full servers doesn't mean that they should just not worry about losing people. I don't want to play anything else. I want to play this game because i love it. There are many of us, not being vocal at all, who would like to play and aren't angry...we are sorely disappointed. This post makes it sound like you are playing right now, therefore you have no right to speak about those who haven't been able to, especially in regards to essentially telling us to push off.

How about trying something out called "honesty" SE?

If you have no clue what is wrong with your servers, just say it. We're adults. (Well, many of us at least.) It's better than constantly lying to us.

I just want them to shut down the servers and fix it. I don't care about a refund or other compensation, a working game would be fine.

I'm actually not. I have not been able to log in all day. I am merely being patient and voicing my own opinion, much like many others are.

And my opinion is that we have no control over the situation and that the issue is eventually going to get resolved whether we rage or not.

Furthermore, it sounds like you're going to stick with the game regardless and that you kind of of understand the point that I'm making. You love the game, as I do, and these issues aren't going to stop you from playing once things are resolved. My comment referring to those who will be lost subs because of a few initial issues does not apply to you.

Why do we have two camps, the white knights and the haters, when we all want the same thing?

Play the game.

White knights hope with patience it will work out, and the haters hope that with angry posts will get things done.

I am just sad myself, usually I am a white knight, but I feel lost now.
I don't believe anger can solve anything.
And I do believe they working hard on the issues. But since the errors keep returning I am afraid this issue can't be quick fixed.

I want ARR to succeed, because I do love it a lot, when I can play it.

It deserves a good launch, not something like this
