From the extent of the problems, I very much doubt that moving a few servers from JP to NA/EU would have made so much as a dent in the problem. It sounds like they massively, massively underestimated demand for the game, and have bottlenecks that need to support double or even triple the population they were originally built to support. Depending on where bottlenecks occur, it's even possible that they can't solve the problem by throwing more hardware at it. It's the best and worst problem to have: Vastly, vastly too many players.

I, too, am disappointed that Early Access has been plagued with so many problems. I also hope that it means there's a lot of interest in 2.0; that after the technical problems are sorted out, the game will have a long life ahead of it and that we'll all have many stories to share with each other about our exploits in Eorzea.

Art people =/= sever people. For starters the NA severs are in Canada while the art is done in japan.

Also 1.0 Players didn't have to pay for early access. There was no reason to pre-order it unless you wanted the ingame items. Early Access was free for 1.0.

They had a stress test to address these issues. It was called Phase 4, and unfortunately was only about 3 days. The game failed the stress test. People were having these exact problems the entirety of Phase 4. People were saying it needed to extended and fixed. And SE just went "Oh well. Its fine. lol"

Its like selling 1000 movie theater tickets and only letting 500 people in, then saying "Sorry, we're full. Go away. No refunds."

What's worse than the errors and SE's attitude are the sycophants who encourage SE to strive for the worst instead of having any standards whatsoever.
