    Yes it maybe just a bandage on the wound but it would still help. There is no reason not to have inactive auto disconnect. Anything that limits and regulates the amount of players that can be on at one time should also self purge those that are not participating and using valuable slots that others are waiting to open up

    I'm sure they do data analysis to understand the percentage of active characters logged on as opposed to the total number of characters registered on a specific server during peak hours, and it's never going to be 100 percent. I don't know of many MMOs or multiplayer games that do not have an inactive timer. In a situation like this, where people logon and don't logoff, how can we know how many people are actually not playing? I'm sure a timer would help a lot. Say the server maxes out at 75% of total registered users. What is happening now is that same 75% is holding the server and the other 25% is never getting to play. Are there 25% logged on right now who aren't playing?
