let's be real, the planning for the data centers SE laid out are absolutely rediculous, and it seems like they treat the rest of the world like red-headed step children.

how is it that japan, with a population of about 118 million people has the same amount of servers as regions that when combined total to over 1 Billion people? even if Japans percentage of gamers was much higher compared to NA/EU gamers, it would not even come close to our combined numbers.

so why is it that NA/EU share data centers? that is not only unfair for EU players (the data center is thousands of miles away from them in montreal) it is unfair to us NA players as well. You're telling me one of the biggest companies in THE largest entertainment market on earth cant buy more data centers/servers? C'MON SON! whoever strategizes these things for them should be stoned in the town square, or this is a prime example of favoritism.

Yeah, I was kinda shocked two when they said NA and EU would share data centers. Us combined make up a bigger group than just JP. I wished they would have kept us all mixed together to be honest. Seems like less worry that way and I never felt the lag was that big of an issue.

Servers were originally in Japan because that is where SE is headquartered. Most likely, they owned the servers/datacenter that was running the game.

When everyone complained about 'lag' they opted to add NA servers. Now, it's not very likely that they would go through the planning/development to run their own datacenter in NA. So, they're renting space from a 3rd party.

Anyone want to bet that the problems, especially since they're only on NA servers are due to a THIRD PARTY and are outside of SE's immediate control?

Stop for just a moment and think about things before you just unload a cart full of whine.

Yeah, you may blindly decided to defend every decision made. Cheers for you. However you might want to take your own advice. You have to admit the lack of foresight on SE's part. Sticking two huge regions like NA, and EU on limited/less servers than JP is just asking for trouble.
