Concerning the 1017 issue

Am I the only one that is utterly pissed because I and also others are locked out of this game, but I have seen people that were afk for OVER 3 hours....chillin'...in the same spot.

Oh hey Imma watch a movie and hit the mall, better not log out!

And yet they aren't being kicked for inactivity so more people that are excited to play and want to be ACTIVE can get into the server?

Also I checked the server strain SE posted and my server is running optimally, but some worlds have visibly more strain. (more ping etc.) Yet my world is "full." K.

I hear ya. I've been trying to log in all day (From about 9 AM to 7:30 PM) I did get on once, around noon. Played for about an hour and then logged off to go do other stuff.

While I was on, I noticed TONS of people just sitting there. Probably about 1/3 of the people online from what I could see.

Anyways, I also tried creating characters on different realms and after creating about 4 random characters, on 4 random servers I didn't find a single one that let me in.

Have they said anything about doubling or tripling the amount of NA/EU servers or anything? Because as is, it kinda scares me how hard it's gonna be to play this game in the future as more and more people buy it.

Nothing like that, but it really is sad that Japan alone has more servers than all of North America. I know their are Canny players that are out there and as mad as we are.

Honestly only time I got in and was able to do anything was because I tried to get in 30 minutes before maintenance "ended" and got put in a queue, but there are no more queues! Like wtf?!

If I ever got on at this point I don't think I'd log out anytime in the next week...

So far I've been able to get in exactly twice out of what probably amounts to several hundred tries.


Also, OP - ping and stress on the server are entirely unrelated. My best guess, and this could well be wrong, is that the same servers responsible for the queue are also responsible for the Duty Finder function. Due to the queue sizes, people in game weren't able to complete the level 5/10 duties, so the fix was to remove the queue.

Again, could well be wrong. All that said, they appear to have switched the queue back on sometime in the last 10 mins.

Thats part of the problem its a simple thing that allows the game to log you out if you are inactive for to long. Im so pissed off i may not even buy the game today was my day off and i have never been able to get on. I have got the 1017 crap all day.

They shut the door on us and pretending they are not home. Great strategy SE. Day one obviously isn't the most important day for any game and you shouldn't have everyone stationed possible to fix problems that come up and not "fix" them 4 times to buy more time for yourselves, nah you wouldn't do that to us.
