Okay SE, here is some advice on how to possibly cope with all these issues.
First, you need to AFK disconnect people. Currently you can log in, then walk away for 10+ hours and your character stays logged in and takes up space on the server. Institute an AFK boot, and I bet you'll find alot more "room" for people trying to play. Problem is currently people log in, and then leave their toon there because they know if they log out they will never get back in.
Second, create more US/EU server and ask for people willing to transfer their toon. Again, probably at least 1/2 of the people will be willing to do that.
Third and most importantly, its about time that the community get addressed from someone at SE. Im not talking a quick blurb on the wall about maintenance. Im saying a note from one of the producers explaining the issues and what the community should expect.
People generally understand games having issues. Anyone who has played a MMO knows the launches have problems. What is making this bad for the community is all the uncertainty. If I log in and get told I have to wait probably 3 hours to play, thats better than what is happening now. Right now people are just continuing to try and log on because thats what they are told to do.
The good part for SE in this is people at least enjoy the game enough to put up with all this and are at least now, still complaining instead of just leaving.
