Question. Why allow character creation to a world that has become full?

Whenever I try to log into my main, I keep getting Error 1017 (The world is full). I really don't understand why they allowed this to happen for the legacy worlds? I mean they were already almost completely full because it has almost everyone from that loved the game since 1.2x, and this is preventing other people from entering the world. I recommend adding kind of a wait list similar to the queue list, so if players are unable to enter the world they just wait instead of having to spam the X, A (for gamepad) or en ter button?

EDIT I stand corrected, it seems there is a queue system for it being full, it seems the queue system doesn't work if you past some number of players on queue.

The reason you're getting that right now is because SE has placed a 'severe' restriction on logins to the NA/EU servers right now to, I guess 'stabilize' the servers and (hopefully) help them solve the issues going on right now.

Well considering they lowered the max number of people away from the full cap, by a large margin if you go by the recent post, it wouldn't likely have mattered much if people created new characters or not

We just need more servers and free transfers so we aren't all on the same couple of servers.

You recall all those posts where people were screaming for blood because they couldn't join their friends on the same server because it was jam packed full of people? In the weeks/months prior to launch I saw new threads every minute asking "What is the most popular server?" because that is where they wanted to go. So naturally people jammed into servers already near capacity causing serious issues. So basically this is what happens when you allow more people than the server can hold. Instead of a handful of people unable to play you have hundreds of thousands.

They should have just put more servers up and pointed people in that direction. If they do offer some sort of transfer, they should make it so entire groups sign up to move all at once. But no matter what they can't make everyone happy, best they can do is minimize the amount of people who are upset.
