What money are you talking about. there's no subscription fee yet. you didn't have to pay anything in order to play today.

Other then that, my wallet didn't notice that there are launch issues going on because guess what. I didn't waste a penny on this weekend. You already decided you were going to buy this game based on alpha/beta's content, where there were more problems so stop pretending your going to quit because of a few bugs. You can't say that. I bought 3 CE editions(2 PC and 1 PS3). Just because you believe 1.0 players get the game for free, doesn't mean the most of us aren't still going to buy a Physical box to support or to put in with our collections of FF fan fare.

And there are no victims in this. You all just need to be patient and let Yoshi & Team balance out the server stresses. This is a normal process, and it differs from company to company but it still occurs.

My bad...First time I've ever pre ordered anything and now I see my error. If this game is even still in my field of vision in a month or so maybe I'll try again...maybe. Frustrating and disappointing weekend...lesson learned. Fool me once shame on you...

I think you forgot one issue. MMOs don't have a problem launching. This isn't 2004.

For instance.

Rift, near perfect launch.
Aion, near perfect launch.
GW2 had issues for about a day. But still playable, no caps, no limits, etc.
Tera had some lag spikes, for a few days. But still easily playable.
Star wars, no issues.
LOTRO, had some server issues for first few hours. Then was fine, minus the occasional spike.


And even still, when I was 5 years old. In little league baseball. You know what the coach taught me? It's always easier to run in to the ball, it's harder to run outwards to it, give yourself room.

It seems Squeenix took the approach of It's easier to ask forgiveness instead of permission.

Actually Bean, everything you said about not paying is incorrect. Every single person that's playing this weekend has already paid for the game. It's not a beta. The game is supposed to be live for those who paid in advance. We were promised early access and it was part of the deal that we got for pre-ordering the game. We are entitled to the time that they promised us and have every right to complain about their crappy service. They aren't even keeping us up to date with the issues. This is terrible customer service and there's no excuse for it when we have already paid.
