18 man parties? What are you on about? Did 18 man parties cause horrible imbalances in 11? Again, my contention is they need to add alliances so people with LS's that hunt NMs can actually ban together and do the only thing in the game that actually gives us a reason to group up.
Party SP needed to be cut down for sure. Hell, I think it should go to the traditional 6 man group. However, again I say, if they cut off the only reason to party together in a worthwhile aspect then they're cutting off their noses to spite their face - again.
As it is right now, you don't need 16 members to take down these lol'NMs but at least its something.
or do you mean 6 man parties 3 of them combined into an alliance
you see they can still add this sort of thing, but limiting the BASE party size is what they are doing right now

Yes. Good idea.

It's definitely a step in making the classes and roles more defined. Yoshi-P said in an interview that they would be making changes that revolved around 4 and 8 man parties.
I'm interested in what the 4 man setup involves.

I'm looking forward to the new small party (4-person) implementation. I prefer smaller parties, so I'll definitely be experimenting.

I think it is better with smaller partys.
The Coordination is better/faster and i think the biggest point is the strategy.
With 15 Players it was just a rape from all sites, no real tactic was needed.
Someone posted this in another thread i believe and this is what i would do too.
Behest every 20 minutes but once you participate in one you have to wait the one Hour.
Im very excited about the 4-8 PvE Content and i hope it will be intense.
I like the change for allowing smaller groups to get things done and keep up with the whole crowd. This is also thinking outside of the game box for reasons.
There are players that are adults or young adults, maybe they don't have as much time or random time for gaming now compared to when they were younger. Smaller groups means they have more of an option to do things at another time, when few, but still plenty, of ls members can help out. This also means for a ls that normally does things in a large group, losing a few members on a particular day means they can break down the group and go tackle something instead of having to call off an event altogether.
The second situation for this is maybe there are a small group of irl friends that play together. Maybe they'd like to go do something by themselves and not have to worry about calling in outside help (no, I'm not suggesting that everyone starts isolating themselves to go do things).
The gaming world has to evolve to consider age groups and what they think will work best in the long run.

This may have been said before, but it's going to screw up behest...which probably isn't a good thing BUT it will make NMs more challenging and tactical, which IS a good thing. Some NMs can be taken down easily with 8 people while some (Buffalo and Dodore) will require a little more than just mindless hacking and well timed BRs.
Over all, I think that this is a step in the right direction as the game heads more towards a tactical approach with team based content.
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing

exactly I mean its not like it would be hard to fill a 15 man party and design content around that, or give us alliances and create 8 man and 16 man content. Either way its going to suck ass telling LS members "no you cant come out and play". Sorry but I care about all my members feelings and want them all to have fun.
This screws over uber big linkshells were numbers --> quality more than anything.
Normal type of linkshells with a good amount of tight friends should have no problem.Wich is my case.
My only beef with this is i feel the only good way they found to make battles "harder" was to limit party size.Lazy developers are lazy.
