Party size reduction a good change?

So in the new patch outline I noticed a party reduction size to 8 as opposed to the fairly large amount you could gather up during behests and such. Do you guys think this is a healthy change? Will it really provide more incentive to form a party or make no real change? Without the appropriate content I feel this is only one step towards make parties more appealing, nothing more =/.

It helps the developers balance and design content.

Yes, it is only one step.

Umm I thought the entire point of making the parties smaller was to make them more appealing. Also future content will be based around these smaller parties. This is the first piece of the puzzle.

Well, they're adjusting Behests to accommodate it with 1.7 as well. Depending on these buffs that we get in 4-7/8-man parties it may become a very viable option. Honestly, I've never had any issues finding a party due to being in a great LS, but grouping up with random players for something other than behest would be great.

With the leves and things like behest being designed towards up to partys of 15 members this will make it more balenced and hopfully give room to have a battle using stratagy, and hopfully get rid of spamming leves over and over again with mobs that can mostly be killed in only a few hits ,or mobs that hit and are as tough as a truck just by popping it up or down a Star difficulty.
Its defanitly essantial for the new content to be balenced right off the bat.

Reduced party size is an amazing change. Now you can't steamroll through everything that's not an NM, and you'll have to have a bit more strategy in your party makeup for the more challenging content.

    Great thing
The only point that I'm not sure about is the Special status enhancement, if I remember correctly Yoshi already said they were thinking about a buffing system for low parties to make up for the lack of a buffing class, but a lot of people (me included) would love to take the buffing role, wich would be pretty useless if there's already a system that does it for you :/ but let's wait and see how it ends up...
