30mins is good, 10-15 is too short

Signed. I knew this was going to be an issue during Beta.
People that AFK during congestion hours like this should actually get a 3 day ban. It's selfish and wrong to deny other players the opportunity to play a game they paid for.

AFK for 30mins?
They really just need to open up new legacy servers.

That's unreasonable. Even WoW has a 15-20 minute disconnect set up so that people AFK for that amount of time get DC'd from the server to prevent congestion.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

I'm totally for kicking AFK at 10-15 minutes. When I was playing this afternoon there were loads of ppl just sitting or standing around doing nothing but taking up space.

I got up afk at a camp to stretch and get a drink, came back and I was kicked off. Far as I know, there IS an afk timer.
Either that or I'm just incredibly unlucky... was trying to progress more, but now I'm on hour two of trying to re-log in, with only one cock-tease que popup leading to world full message again.

...at least they're not apologizing for it. The apology guy is tired of typing today.
20 minutes is fair. Yes, Please!
