Server Population Status Suggestion

Hi SE,

Can you create a way we players can see how many are on each server or what percentage of it is full. This way we decide if we want to switch to lesser full servers or vice versa.

Please also consider allowing us to switch servers at no charge with the first 30 days of launch so we can perhaps spread out more and not burden the more heavily populated servers.

I'm gonna go ahead and put this...here.

I know this is just blowing a lot of air since SE most likely won't read this and, frankly, what the hell do we know about running an MMO?

This is just some quick and dirty tips on some things that might help the server situation, to be implemented within the next 48 hours for the sake of the game we want to love.

This is NOT a place to post complaints; there's a ton of other threads for that.

1. Add a server population doo-hicky to the Lobby. This will go a long way for people to know what server to pick so they can cut down on overwhelming another server.

2. Open up a QUICK & EASY World Transfer process, for free, for the first month or two after launch.

3. Legacy Servers are for Legacy Players. Nothing against those that are non-Legacy, but if they insist on being on the Legacy servers Legacy Players should have log in priority for the foreseeable future. There's a reason we're Legacy because we were loyal to V1 and we came back for ARR; show us our respect.

This came from another post I put in another thread. This is why I decided to make a thread for it. Here's where my "just divide by 0 and be done with it" mind assumes the problem is:

Japan as a country is home to roughly 185Million. Include Australia at 23Million and parts of Eastern Asia: we'll say maybe 300 Million within' acceptable range of the Japanese Servers. They have 20 servers and 5 Legacy servers.
Now; the US, UK, parts of Russia, Germany, France, Italy, India, Canada, Mexico...most of the western hemisphere pushing 4Billion in population are on the US/EU servers...15 US servers (with a population of 300Million ALONE) supporting all of those countries and territories + 4 Legacy servers. Those do not count the small number of European servers for those who don't want to mix in with a lot of the English speakers; those servers number all of 5 and 1 Legacy.
