Actually Bean, everything you said about not paying is incorrect. Every single person that's playing this weekend has already paid for the game. It's not a beta. The game is supposed to be live for those who paid in advance. We were promised early access and it was part of the deal that we got for pre-ordering the game. We are entitled to the time that they promised us and have every right to complain about their crappy service. They aren't even keeping us up to date with the issues. This is terrible customer service and there's no excuse for it when we have already paid.

First off, i already paid and have been charged for my preorder. Second off no, im not going to support this game on name alone because that is just an idiotic thing to do and i don't even like FF games, they bore me to death. I preorded based off the knowledge of beta phase 3 that i found the controller gameplay really fun, and preordered for the early access, i could not care less about a silly hat or stupid cat minion thing and would sell them in a heartbeat if i could on the marketplace. I was able to log in for an hour last night until i got error 90k, and have not been able to log in since the world has always been full or it just has not been able to load NA/EU server, considering EA was the ONLY reason i preordered i do find it disheartening.


All of this is confounded when the Japanese servers are apparently running fine like clockwork (all second hand information, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) which just makes it seem like they could not care less about there NA/EU players. Whether that is true or not i can't say but it sure seems like it! This just feels like FF11 all over again which i truely believed things would get better after their talk about how this game will make or break them as a company but it sure don't seem it.

OP doesn't realize that some version 1.0 users who are not legacy players had to pay for the standard edition of the game. These users paid specifically for early access and in-game items. You also fail to realize that "time" is "money". Majority of the people here are complaining because they want to play a game they can't in which they took time off to play.

Also the argument that a lot of people use that an MMO is expected to have problems is a poor excuse. This is SE's 2nd chance at FFXIV. This game is supposed to help rebuild the FF name, not hurt it more. This game should be near perfect before launch.

This. I have a 1.0 account but I am not legacy, so I bought the game again exclusively for the early access and decided to reroll with some friends. Between the 4 emergency maintenances in 2 days, severe login restrictions (their words) and general issues, this feels like a bad launch. Add the fact that the JP servers (really Asia/Oceania but its labeled JP) have not had these issues and were only brought down once to apply the changes they've been making to the NA/EU realms really leaves us with an early access that half works and pisses us off.
