The fairy is meant to be used a support, not as the main healing. Its like a 2nd...side healing set. I myself am only level 31, but I have had no issues healing. Usually I use Eos and heal on my own. When you switch to Scholar you get a nice boost to Mind so that it surpasses your Intelligence. Youll mainly use Physick/and or Cure, and Adloqium is meant to LIFT stress on a character that taking a bit more damage. I usually use Adloqium on a person to give a small window of opportunity to put my attention on someone else. The fairy tends to do a good job on her own, and supplements my own healing :3. Plus as someone said before, that AoE HoT spell is helpful with poison.

As for when I solo or need support I combine Selene with Cleric Stance, making my attack spells stronger so I can do damage when I solo.

Strength is not in the ability to stand or to fight back, no strength is having the will to keep going on.

1 - Selene unless theres heavy AOE dps going out (or can be predicted like in Cutter cry Chimera Ram fight when people forget to run in or out.)
2- Micro manage you mean? Yes I have her embrace skill next to the rest of my heals. (only prob with this is she busts her CD's right off the bat right after AI issue.)
3- Havent had any problems with MP management, Aetherflow - Energy drain (with trait) keeps me with plenty of reserve.
    4- Not sure yet lol.
    5- I go summoner for solo'ing.
6- Preshield the tank before any fight with AlqWhatever!

When do Scholars get Succor and Succor II? I am level 36 Scholar and don't have either of these skills.

You don't get Succor II. You only get Succor.

whoever said there is Succor II, I wish your hopes get crushed.

I dont know why exactly, but a lot of people refer to Adloquium as Succor I and Succor as Succor II. Maybe it is in other language versions, or it was that way in the original ff 14 or whatever. I got confused by it too, but even here http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Scholar_Actions it is listed that way.

Basically I see scholars as a form of Support character. I use Adloq on tank before pulls and then use my window for dots and then spread them.

After that I usually have to go on spamhealing the group for a while. But Im ALWAYS in cleric stance. It doesnt impact fairy healing and only lowers mine with about 10-15% since my int comes to mind (eh? ). The damage is fine. I even use Thunder from the Thaumaturges from time to time.

You get succor from a quest you get from the little guy in the marauders guild.

EDIT: Oh and if youre level 31 and you havent noticed any problems yet, youre still too low to actually evaluate a lot. Instances get harder after level 30. For example in sunken temple you need to move over marks to remove a debuff which kills you in about 8 seconds. Its kind of hard to control your pet over the pillars while running and still keeping the tank up. Fun tho... a lot lot lot of fun .

I see, so it has an origin, too bad succor sucks so much it doesn't have the double shield mechanics that it's supposed to have and was hoping the "2nd" one will...

    oh well =/

1: I use Eos pretty much always.
2: Not really. In some fights, I place her in strategic areas that keeps her in range of all party members so that they can get cures, buffs, etc.
3: For the most part, it works out fine. At higher levels, I'm able to keep my MP pretty high with energy drain (about 270ish MP per drain) and aetherflow.
4: It actually gets easier as you level, in my opinion. It was hard in the lower levels because you have nothing to remove negative status effects on party members. Adloquium + succor work wonders if you can manage your MP with their use, Leeches is wonderful, and Lustrate is amazing for those "oh shit!" moments when someone is low HP.
    5: Nope.
6: Be mindful of your party member's HP and whether its worth curing them. Having experience with PUP in FFXI (and the pets somewhat similar to that), I've learned how Eos works and have come to trust her. When people get to about 70% HP mark she'll start to cure people, so if you need to prioritize, heal the important people first and by the time you're done doing that Eos would have taken care of the rest.
