Where did the queue go?

I can understand not being able to immediately log on, there are obviously many people wanting to play right away. But the current roulette method of "Sorry 1017 for you" or "yay you picked the exact right time to press login when someone left" is just silly.

What happened to the queues? I'm sure many of us would be willing to wait in super long queues, if we knew we were actually waiting, and not just pressing buttons hoping to hit the "jackpot"

Its some idiot who should be fired's idea that this is going to lower the congestion on the log in server, because as we know Queues clearly cause more log in attempts than forcing the players to smash against the log in servers every few seconds in an attempt to force their way into the game.

Yeah as I said I would rather sit in a que that is 10000 long over the button mashing. And now it seems to give me message NA/EU server list unable to update after 10th time. Which means I've lost any chance I had for few minutes waiting

Its so random too. Sometimes cant get past start, other times no NA/EU char list. Other times it appears as if I am about to get in then BAM, 1017. Meanwhile a friend that literally lives up the road, is enjoying his game...for now. Just wish the queue was still there. Rather 23454/464563 than "Sorry sucka".

It seems if you restart the client the list shows back up and you can try again. At least thats how mine is working.

yeah that helps but not all time even if do get in queue say like 182 drops to 181 it well still kick you out back to start it's pain in butt.
i click like 40 times try get in this is bit crazy *bash's head on wall*

is that how it is on NA/EU servers?? on jp server there is a queue for logging in but not because server is full just too many people logging in at same time so there is a queue, queue goes fast( was in a queue at 55 then went to 51 then was able to login). man NA server are terrible, seriously questioning requesting a transfer to NA servers if they are going to have issues like that.
