Waiting a few months would only put this guy way behind everyone els. If you plan to come back to the game, well now would be the best time before they add end game content. At least if you come back now and try hard to catch up you wont be behind the times when new things come out.

Palamecia is a good server imo. As for linkshells, I cant say I have that problem. I am in a very amazing LS. http://www.paranor.enjin.com

i dont know whats your definition by being left behind, because right now you can play 3-5hour every night and still reach r50 within a month.

but disregarding all that, if you can put up with all the flaws FFXIV currently have and want to be ready for the upcoming content, then by all means give it a try since it is still a free game.

also, there are no best server because everyone is biased to their own server, best to do few research here and there.

Your point? That is still a month behind everyone els. When new content comes out, guess what you'll be a month behind everyone els...... I never mentioned that leveling was a problem all I said was he would be behind if he waits till after the big changes.

If it only takes a month to get to 50, well why not start not and save yourself some time later.

it saves us another potential RAGEQUIT player, i am not saying you will be one OP but there is a chance you might be after you played the game on its current state. This game might be fun if you happen to find the correct server and the correct players that you can fit in, the social aspect and cool people in my server are what kept me playing, its definitely not the game.
