I bought the preorder yesterday for the "new" FFXIV. Where 1.0 was horrible it was said.
and the 2.0 would be ever so much better, since it was a realm reborn.

It has now been 24 hours since I bought it and I have yet to to be able to play 10 minutes in the game.

Today the 6 EU servers have been completely locked out.

The que was at best 15 players and then 20 seconds into waiting in the que I get the window saying that the world is full please try again later.

Now, when I try to log in, I get to loading screen and then "The connection to the server was lost"

You would actually think that SE would care about more than their JP servers. But obviously not. It is again that the EU part of the world is being discriminated. I wish that games made in EU, like Battlefield etc would do the same to the rest of the world

NA servers 20 or so
EU servers 6

Early Access is NOT Beta
Early Access means that you will get bonus because you paid for the game before it was released, meaning you give your money to SE as a sign of faith.
Early Access is the companies way of saying "thank you for trusting us".
Early access is NOT stress testing servers, thats beta
Early Access is NOT connection testing, thats beta.
I paid money ahead of time because I had faith in the company, which btw failed in the first version of the game.
Tell me please why I should spend even a dime more on this game, I can not even get EA.

But be aware, some very calm people, will find a way to tell you that this is a free period and you should be happy to be able to play 1 hour per day, and overjoyed if more! And then they will chain with how bad others games started, as if bad launching was law.

That's what I've been told. But Hey, we are free to show we aren't happy, or Else SE will think they can do whatever they want with us.

I like this comment. It's a much more realistic/reasonable view on the matter. Definitely don't let any company walk all over you, but always try to be understanding. Considering the failure 1.0 was I can't see SE not doing everything in their power to make the launch go smoothly. Things wont be fixed instantaneously, but the issues will get fixed and yes I know it sucks when you pay for something and can't use it; I've been there.
Perhaps just take a step back, play some other games or go hangout with friends and come back later and try to get on.

Personally, I'm just going to roll with what happens. This isn't an excuse, but mmos usually have some issues at the start. I've been playing mmo's for 10-12 yrs now tho, so I might be a tad more understanding than some of you newer/younger mmo players. Only thing I'd ask is you guys/gals try to be understanding and see things from SE's point of view.

I think this is besides the point... If you paid or not, SE is destroying their potential for people to actually PURCHASE the game. Who wants to buy a game that has failed horribly two weekends in a row now.

Your logic jests that: You guys haven't paid for the game yet, so SE can have as shitty of a game as they want!

Does it REALLY matter if you've given them the money yet? With a pre-order, you've basically agreed that you will.

Umm, maybe you should take a look at the purchase screen where it says
"Pre-Order Bonus

EARLY ACCESS: Access the game servers ahead of the official launch. Get your head start and make your mark in the realm of Eorzea!"

Now, if you do NOT bet into the EA, would that not be false advertising?
Should it not says "Pre-Order Bonus Chanse
EARLY ACCESS: You have a random chanse at accessing the game servers ahead of the official launch. You get a chanse at head start and make your mark in the realm of Eorzea!"

Because it clearly states in the way it is expressed that everyone will be able to access EA, yet it is not so, clearly there is not room enough for everyone. So which is it?
