World is full

I can't log in because the world is full. Why create a system where the number of people created is greater than the number that can be online at once? This makes me sad.

timezones, and in general varied playtimes, there is also the fact that people are extremely concetrated to a few areas atm

This is a bad problem. The server needs to be improved to handle more people.

This just seems like a statement you didn't think out thoroughly. No matter the timezone, or the playtime, or the fact that people are concentrated in a few areas, there should always be a spot for you to log into your world.

An analogy I can use is:

Would a movie theater sell more tickets than they have seats available? No they wouldn't, they would put up a SOLD OUT notification.

Square definitely put up a "SOLD OUT" notification by locking new player creation, but they forgot to up the limit of players online at one time. That should always match the number of players created on that world, to ensure they can always log in to play.

6 hours straight of the world being full after 2 hours maintenance after yesterday's servers not working and being in maintenance almost half the day. Awesome early access.

Airlines frequently oversell flights because they know some people will not show. However, only a few seats. SE has extremely over sold there servers. With "regional" servers, potentially everyone on that server could want play at the same time. Servers need to be bigger!!!

I have not been able to get in all day, literally been trying every few hours since around 2PM EST. It is now 7PM EST and I still can't get in. Not sure if SE realizes when they start charging for subs people actually have to be able to play.. then they will pay.. I even created a toon on Hyperion for a bit logged off to do some stuff now that server is full as well, I quite literally can not play, unless I play with Japan.
