Does deleting a character on a full server enable you to make another?

As the title says. I'm on Hyperion, but my character is botched horrendously due to the inability to load character data at first from the benchmark.

I'd like to make a character I'd like, and have no problem deleting this character, but if deleting this character won't enable me to make a new character on Hyperion, I really don't want to, and would rather wait for the as-of-yet unnaounced timing for our 1.0 character appearance redo of redos.

So, does anyone know if deleting a character on a full server enables you to make a new character on the same server?

With the way the server cap locks are on right now, I would highly suggest waiting it out. I'd hate for you to delete your char then get errors that worlds can't be found etc.

ofcourse. you can have multiple characters on as many servers you want.

I tried it before in beta 4. It doesn't seem to work. Either the queue is too long, or they release servers when availability reaches a threshold. I'd suggest you wait a couple weeks for the servers to stablize before you try it. Alternatively, wait until you can create a new character on the server you want before deleting and recreating your character. I can't guarantee you'll be on the same server otherwise.

Unfortunatly, my guild in on Hyperion. I'm thinking of just joining any random NA server for now and server transfering to Hyperion once they become available. Problem is, I don't know if they'll charge for it, and if they do, I won't be able to, I can barely afford the monthly payments as it is.

Still, thanks for the confirmation it doesn't work, I'm definately keeping the character on for now, for the off-chance they will reissue the name/appearance changes soon.

I can bet there are thousands of players waiting for u to do that, so they can make it to ur server and join their friends.

Well, I deleted one of my alts on the server I want to be my main (Diabloooo), but I could add another one. Of course it was the same character I did manage to add during a flash of server clarity last night before everything was locked down.

So my hopes are this - I hope I can move some of my higher (*snicker* level 5-9) alts from another server I could get on during diablooo's barfing last night to my main server for free, since I did what I could to sample each type of character's play style. I was hoping to move my Nipon based characters to a NA server, but I have a NZ bud who I might play with sometime's too, that and the populace of the server I playing on are quite nice folks.
